Job summary

Superior Construction is seeking a dedicated Survey Project Manager to lead survey tasks on field projects. You will translate engineering plans into field layouts, manage survey crews, and coordinate with field leadership to ensure accurate measurements and timely execution.

The role requires hands-on experience with roadway and structural layouts, proficiency with total stations, GPS, and software, and a strong commitment to safety and quality on heavy civil sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 5 years’ experience in the surveying industry.
• Field-based project execution experience.
• 3-year minimum of construction layout.
• One-year minimum of bridge experience.
• Construction industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise survey crews assigned to projects and coordinate with Superintendents and Foremen for survey requests.
• Perform layout work competently and accurately as specified.
• Calculate layouts for roadways, structures (bridges, culverts, walls), utilities and other tasks on the project.
• Determine methods for recovery of existing survey control and establish secondary control as needed.
• Operate and maintain survey equipment (manual/robotic total stations, levels, GPS, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, OSHA regulations, and project procedures.
