Rijk Zwaan USA Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Work-Study Student Assistant to support daily warehouse operations in Salinas, CA. You will help with receiving, inspecting, and storing seed shipments and assist with inventory control.

The role offers 16–20 hours per week, flexible scheduling around classes, hands-on experience in a leading seed industry company, and opportunities to develop transferable skills such as organization, teamwork, and time management.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program at a community college or university (e.g., Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, Business, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move heavy items as required.
• Interest in the seed industry and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming seed shipments.
• Help maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock checks.
• Support the picking, packing, and shipping of orders to customers.
• Participate in warehouse organization and cleanliness initiatives.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse processes and improve efficiency.
• Learn and adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
