Job summary

Gold Star FS, Inc. in Illinois is seeking a Seed Treat Operator to manage our seed treatment plant, including scheduling, logistics, product handling, and rolling stock.

You will operate field equipment and work on plant facilities in a positive, professional manner. Responsibilities include maintaining equipment and inventory, coordinating shipping/receiving of soybeans and treatments, and scheduling soybean treatment and delivery.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain seed treater’s license.
• CDL with HZM and commercial applicator’s license required.
• Demonstrated planning, organization, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Experience or training in applying fertilizers, crop protection products and minor equipment maintenance.
• Basic math skills for rates, ratios and percents in all units.

Responsibilities

• Operate seed treatment plant including scheduling, logistics, product handling and rolling stock.
• Operate field equipment and maintain plant facilities in a positive, professional manner.
• Maintain equipment and inventory; manage shipping/receiving of soybeans and treatments.
• Schedule soybean treatment and delivery.
• Oversee warehousing of soybean seed and maintain seed condition.
• Operate and maintain agronomy machinery for throughput and longevity.
• Cooperate with other employees and cross-train as needed.
• Treat and handle patrons professionally and courteously.
• Attend meetings, schools and seminars as required; perform duties safely.
