Job summary

FS Companies is seeking a Seed Treatment Operator to run seed treatment operations and related sequencing on-site. The role requires CDL with hazmat and commercial applicator licenses, strong math and safety awareness, and ability to manage schedules and inventory.

Qualifications

• Ability to use computer skills to run seed operation.
• Must obtain and maintain seed treater's license.
• Must have, or obtain, CDL with HZM and commercial applicator's license.
• Demonstrated planning, organization, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in applying fertilizers and crop protection products; maintenance of equipment.
• Basic math skills including rate, ratio and percent.

Responsibilities

• Operate seed treatment plant including scheduling and logistics.
• Operate field equipment and maintain equipment and facilities.
• Maintain inventory and shipping/receiving of soybeans and treatments.
• Schedule soybean treatment and delivery.
• Oversee warehousing of soybean seed and maintain proper seed condition.
• Operate and maintain field agronomy machinery for throughput and longevity.
• Communicate with colleagues in a positive and productive manner.
• Cross-train and work in other departments as needed by supervisor.
• Treat and handle patrons professionally and courteously.
• Attend meetings and trainings as required.
• Perform duties in a safety-conscious manner.
