Job summary

Vylor is seeking a Production Technician for its Rushville, IN facility. You will operate across seed production lines, handle crop processing tasks, and support continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to safety and quality standards.

The role requires flexibility to rotate shifts and overtime during peak seasons. Ideal candidates have a two-year technical degree or associates, hands-on operations experience, and a willingness to learn company systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or willing to obtain GED within 12 months of hire.
• Valid US driver’s license.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying indoor/outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Model safety as the number one focus.
• Be 100% safety steward of a designated program.
• Seed corn harvest activities: receiving, husk/sort, drying, shelling, bulk operations.
• Process activities: color sorting, sizing, gravity table, treating, packaging, palletizing.
• Use automation and computerized systems (PLC, computers, iPads).
• Return and rework activities.
• Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with the quality plan.
• Warehousing duties: forklift, sampling, picking, pooling.
• Data collection for continuous improvement (Bottoms Up Planning).
• Maintenance tasks on facilities and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
