Job summary

Growmark is seeking a Senior Manager, Seed Advancement to own seed portfolio strategy, supplier relations, and market positioning across the GROWMARK System and Ontario.

You will lead product development for corn, soybean, wheat, and forage lines, set pricing and grower programs, and partner with marketing and operations teams to drive growth.

The role requires a college degree in agronomy or related field and 9+ years of leadership in seed marketing, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• College degree in agronomy, ag business, ag economics, marketing, or related field; 9+ years of seed portfolio leadership.
• Strong business knowledge, collaboration, communication, and decision‑making abilities.
• Advanced understanding of genetics, traits, seed production, pricing, licensing, and supply agreements.
• Experience negotiating supplier and trait provider agreements and multi‑supplier portfolios.
• Strong analytical skills in portfolio profitability analysis and financial modeling.
• Proven leadership, mentoring, and performance evaluation abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and in teams.
• Willingness to travel; valid driver's license and passport; travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for seed gross margin, product line profitability, and portfolio competitiveness.
• Negotiate and administer seed supply, licensing, and trait agreements for all seed entities.
• Manage supplier portfolio to balance access to leading genetics and market competitiveness.
• Direct product management, advancement, and research for corn, soybean, wheat, and forage lines.
• Set seed line pricing and grower programs to support profits and growth.
• Develop annual and long-range seed marketing goals and communicate results to leadership.
• Lead marketing collaboration with Enterprise Marketing and Seed Sales.
