Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking candidates for a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Scientist or Geologist position. The candidate must have demonstrated expertise leading a team on sediment remediation projects for Federal and Public sector clients.

Roles include evaluating remediation technologies, understanding transport processes, and communicating complex results to clients and stakeholders. Domestic/international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; 7 years of related experience; travel may be required.
• Expertise in evaluating sediment remediation technologies and designs.
• Experience leading a team of engineers or scientists on remediation projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise in evaluating feasibility of sediment remediation technologies and designs.
• Understand the scientific and engineering principles of sediment transport and remedial action design.
• Provide support of mathematical/statistical evaluations of environmental data.
• Serve as CDM Smith’s task manager, communicating technical strategy to clients.
• Lead staff in preparing documents that are technically sound and regulation-compliant.
