Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Scientist or Geologist to lead teams on sediment remediation projects for Federal and Public sector clients. The role involves evaluating remediation technologies, designing sediment remediation plans, and coordinating with engineers, scientists, and clients.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and about 7 years of related experience, with travel flexible per project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 7+ years of related experience preferred.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; travel frequency varies with duties.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to convey complex concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise evaluating sediment remediation technologies and design sediment remediation for riverine, coastal, riparian, or port settings.
• Lead/tWork with engineers and scientists on sediment remediation projects for government and public sector clients.
• Interpret regulatory requirements (CERCLA, GLRA) and communicate findings to clients and stakeholders.
• Serve as task manager for sediment sites, developing technical strategy and coordinating with subject matter experts.
• Mentor and lead staff to ensure technically sound deliverables compliant with regulations.
