Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Scientist or Geologist to lead and deliver sediment remediation projects for federal and public clients. You will manage team members, assess remediation strategies, and communicate complex analyses to stakeholders.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with 7 years of related experience and willingness for domestic/international travel as duties demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise in evaluating remediation technologies and preparing sediment remediation designs.
• Lead a team of engineers and/or scientists on sediment remediation projects for federal/public clients.
• Support regulatory steps and processes under CERCLA, GLLA, and related programs.
• Serve as technical liaison with clients, the public, and outside consultants.
• Guide staff in preparing technical documents that are sound and compliant.
