Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Scientist or Geologist to lead sediment remediation projects for Federal and Public sector clients. The role requires independent work and team leadership on complex sites, with preferred experience in riverine, coastal, or port settings.

The candidate should possess a strong understanding of sediment transport, site assessment, cap modeling, dredge approaches, and remediation design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7 years of related experience; travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise evaluating sediment remediation technologies and design sediment remediation for riverine, coastal, and port sites.
• Lead technical evaluations and ensure designs meet regs and policy.
• Act as technical liaison with client, public, and outside consultants.
• Mentor staff and review technical documents for quality and compliance.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of CERCLA, GLLA, and other regulatory steps for sediment sites.
