CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Engineer to lead and execute sediment remediation projects for Federal and Public sector clients. The role involves design, assessment, and construction phases across riverine, coastal, and port settings with multiple stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will independently lead teams, manage complex investigations, and apply regulatory knowledge to deliver technically sound solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading sediment remediation projects on Federal/Public sector sites.
• Ability to design and evaluate sediment remediation strategies.
• Strong communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of CERCLA and regulatory processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise evaluating remediation technologies and designs for riverine, coastal and port sites.
• Understand contaminant transport, site assessment, sampling, cap modeling, dredge approaches and remedial action.
• Support mathematical/statistical evaluations of environmental data.
• Serve as task manager, communicating strategy to clients and coordinating SME input.
