Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Installation and Service Technician to join our team in retail environments. You will install, service, and repair inventory control and video equipment at customer sites, troubleshoot issues, and maintain accurate records of service calls.

The role requires hands-on work, physical ability to lift 50-70 lbs, and the flexibility to travel as needed. Strong electronics/Networking background and customer interaction skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics and/or Networking is required or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of electronics and networking fundamentals
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Valid driver’s license required
• Willingness to obtain state license as required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and scope documents

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain retail products and equipment at customer sites
• Record service calls with details of work performed and parts used
• Maintain inventory levels to ensure first-time fix
• Demonstrate and train customers on equipment use
• Report customer satisfaction and potential sales opportunities to manager
• Perform other tasks as needed
