Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a field service technician to install and repair inventory control and video equipment in retail environments. You will respond to service calls, document work, and train staff on equipment usage.

You will maintain parts inventories, report customer satisfaction, identify service or sales opportunities, and represent the company professionally at customer sites. The role requires physical aptitude and the ability to work independently within a team.

Qualifications

• Possession of an EL 06 License.
• Proficiency in electronics and networking fundamentals.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic PC skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Physical ability to lift and move equipment up to 70 lbs and work in challenging positions such as climbing ladders or working within ducts.
• Nice to Have: Networking certification.
• Experience installing or servicing IP cameras and DVR/NVR systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair inventory control and video equipment in retail environments.
• Respond to service calls efficiently and maintain accurate records of work performed.
• Work directly with customers and team members to resolve issues promptly and provide equipment training.
• Maintain an accurate parts inventory to support first-time fixes and efficient service delivery.
• Report customer satisfaction updates and any service or sales opportunities identified during visits to management.
• Support safe, effective field work while representing Johnson Controls professionally at customer sites.
