Job summary

Amentum in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Security Training Officer to plan, develop, coordinate, and deliver standardized initial, recurring, remedial, and sustainment training for security contractor personnel, aligning with the PWS, DAF directives, and customer requirements.

The STO acts as the site’s training expert, delivering curricula, evaluating trainee proficiency, maintaining training records, and reporting readiness metrics to leadership while ensuring compliance with all security

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of instructor, trainer, or training management experience.
• Previous military or law enforcement training experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain TS clearance within 20 months.
• Must be at least 21 years old and valid state driver's license.
• Proficient with MS Office and electronic training management systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver, and manage standardized security training programs per PWS and directives.
• Conduct new employee orientation, site familiarization, and job qualification training.
• Create lesson plans, training guides, checklists, and exercises.
• Evaluate trainee proficiency and monitor remedial training progress.
• Maintain training records, rosters, and schedules; produce leadership reports.
• Ensure training documentation compliance and update SOPs and SOPs.
