Job summary

Akima Data Management (ADM), an Akima company, is seeking a Security Training Management Analyst (STMA) to support the Department of State Diplomatic Security in Rosslyn, VA. The role involves managing DS training programs, policy development, and monitoring contractor training compliance on-site in the greater Washington, DC area.

The STMA will coordinate with DS Training Directorate, prepare performance reviews, and may travel domestically and internationally to verify contractor training

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 6 years of experience, with 3 years in administration, management, and supervision of training programs.
• Active Secret Clearance or higher.
• Knowledge of instructional theories and methods for training security-related topics.

Responsibilities

• Provide managerial support for the DS/IP/OPO training programs under government guidance.
• Develop training policy, contract training performance work statements, and oversee training compliance.
• Guide security operations training, including firearms, driving, protective security, and related courses.
• Monitor contractor training capabilities and ensure adherence to approved DS procedures.
• Coordinate with DS Training Directorate to ensure training aligns with lesson plans and guidance.
• Travel domestically and abroad for on-site reviews and evaluations as needed.
• Prepare PMRs and evaluations of training for security programs to ensure contract requirements are met.
