Job summary

Akima Data Management (ADM), an Akima company, is seeking a Security Training Management Analyst to support the Department of State Diplomatic Security in Rosslyn, VA. This on-site role focuses on managing DS training programs, developing policies, and ensuring contractor compliance to training requirements.

The STMA will coordinate with DS offices, review training plans, and provide SME input on emergency contingencies, firearms, driving, and protective services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 6 years of experience, with at least 3 years in administration, management, and supervision of training programs.
• Active Secret Clearance or higher.
• Knowledge of instructional theories and methods to design, develop, present, and evaluate training for firearms, defensive tactics, driving, and protective security.
• Broad knowledge of management, training development, and resource management to support the Bureau.

Responsibilities

• Provide managerial support of DS/IP/OPO’s training programs under government guidance.
• Develop training policy, contract training PWS development and review, and training oversight.
• Assist in contract training development and SME input on security operations and training best practices.
• Provide guidance on security operations including protective services, motorcade, and emergency training.
• Monitor contractors’ compliance with training requirements and DS approved procedures.
• Coordinate with DS Training Directorate to ensure training aligns with lesson plans and guidance.
• Plan PMRs and on-site surveys to evaluate training for protection details and related operations.
• Provide data, reporting, and formal responses to various protective equipment and operations groups.
