Job summary

Minnesota IT Services (MNIT) is seeking a Security Technology Specialist to protect and optimize the department’s security technology systems. You’ll manage hardware lifecycle, coordinate deployments, and provide tier two support for facility information systems across the DOC network.

The role requires strong communication skills, collaboration with MNIT DOC Security Technology Support and Enterprise Services, and the ability to work onsite at least 50% with telework options based on business

Qualifications

Variety of computer hardware, operating systems, networking, databases, data communications, and video management systems.
Access control systems and perimeter protection experience.
Working knowledge of computer programming and clear communication.

Responsibilities

Manage security technology systems, upgrades, and hardware reviews.
Coordinate hardware implementations and lifecycle planning.
Provide day-to-day support and tier two assistance for facility information systems.
Collaborate with MNIT DOC Security Technology Support and Enterprise Services to meet goals.
Work with DOC networks and partner agencies to ensure secure operations.
