Job summary

Uber is seeking a security-focused professional to join the Security Review Team in Seattle, driving proactive risk reduction across services and AI integrations. You will conduct design reviews, threat modeling, and hands-on testing of third-party AI agents, while collaborating with engineering and privacy teams to implement effective mitigations.

You will build AI-powered automation to scale assessments, create reusable artifacts, and translate findings into practical, repeatable remediation

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in security engineering, application security, product security, offensive security, or related roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Information Security, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience reviewing technical designs and identifying security risks in applications, APIs, cloud services, or distributed systems.
• Experience performing threat modeling, analyzing attack paths, and recommending mitigations based on risk and impact.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, data protection, and secure handling of sensitive information.
• Hands-on security testing, vulnerability investigation, or validating security controls.
• Experience writing code or automation using Python/Go/Bash and familiarity with AI-assisted workflows.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security and privacy design reviews for services, APIs, and AI integrations.
• Perform threat modeling for critical services and AI agents.
• Test third-party AI agents through hands-on adversarial assessments across models and data access.
• Evaluate how data is collected, stored, shared, retained, and deleted; work with privacy stakeholders.
• Document actionable findings with reproducible steps, risk assessments, and remediation guidance.
• Collaborate with engineering and vendors to address findings and verify mitigations.
• Build AI-powered automation to improve design reviews, threat modeling, and testing.
• Develop reusable assessment materials like checklists and templates.
