Job summary

Uber Technologies Inc. is seeking a senior security professional to join the Security Review Team in San Francisco.

The role centers on security design reviews, threat modeling, and hands-on testing of AI agents and critical Uber services. The candidate will drive adversarial testing, develop AI-powered automation for reviews, and collaborate with engineering, security, and privacy teams to remediate risks at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Independent design reviews and guidance across applications, APIs, cloud services, and third-party integrations.
• Threat modeling across complex systems with attack-path analysis and mitigations.
• Hands-on security testing and vulnerability research, including adversarial testing.
• Ability to analyze code, architectures, APIs, and runtime behavior to validate security assumptions.
• Proficiency building security tooling and automation with Python/Go; AI-assisted development is a plus.
• Experience owning complex security assessments end-to-end from scoping to remediation.
• Strong communication to influence engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead security and privacy design reviews across Uber services, APIs, infrastructure, and AI systems, analyzing architecture and data flows to identify systemic risks.
• Lead threat modeling for high-risk systems, identifying attack surfaces and mitigations.
• Conduct advanced adversarial assessments of third-party AI agents and agentic systems, validating potential exploit paths.
• Perform code-assisted security reviews and targeted penetration testing to validate controls and assumptions.
• Lead security analyses of sensitive-data handling and collaborate with privacy stakeholders for safeguards.
• Own security assessments end-to-end, from scope to remediation validation.
• Partner with engineering, security, privacy, and vendors to drive remediation and verification.
• Design AI-powered automation to scale reviews, threat modeling, and testing.
