Job summary

Uber Technologies Inc. is seeking a Security Engineer on the Security Review Team in Seattle. You will conduct security design reviews, threat modeling, and hands-on penetration testing across Uber’s services, APIs, and AI agents to reduce risk.

You’ll build AI-powered automation and drive continuous security testing across the ecosystem. You will collaborate with engineering and security teams to translate findings into systemic improvements, addressing cloud, infrastructure, and data security

Qualifications

3+ years of professional experience in security engineering.
Ability to analyze complex system designs and provide technical input.
Knowledge of threat modeling and risk modeling frameworks.
Experience with cloud-native services, microservices, or distributed systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Conduct security design reviews and threat modeling across Uber’s codebase and systems.
Assess AI agents and external integrations for security risks.
Perform hands-on penetration testing of services, APIs, infrastructure, and AI agents.
Design and build AI-powered automation for security assessments.
Translate findings into actionable guidance for engineering and stakeholders.
Collaborate with teams to identify and fix systemic security weaknesses.
