Job summary

Uber’s Offensive Security team seeks an experienced engineer to identify and reduce risk across services and AI agents. You will conduct hands-on testing, security design reviews, and threat modeling in a fast-moving hybrid environment.

You will design AI-powered automation to scale security assessments, work with engineering teams to fix vulnerabilities, and help evolve secure software development practices across Uber’s technology ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in security engineering or related fields.
• Ability to analyze large-scale system designs, identify risks and attack paths, and drive solutions.
• Deep knowledge of threat modeling, vulnerability discovery, risk assessment, and offensive security.
• Experience evaluating cloud-native services, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Proven ability to lead security assessments and influence engineering teams.
• Experience applying AI/LLMs, agents, or automation in security workflows.
• Hands-on penetration testing of complex applications, APIs, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on penetration testing of critical Uber services, apps, APIs, infrastructure, and AI agents.
• Conduct security design reviews and threat modeling for AI agents and systems.
• Design and build AI-powered automation for security reviews and testing at scale.
• Translate findings into systemic improvements with engineering teams.
• Review engineering proposals for cloud, infrastructure, app, and data-layer security.
• Provide corrective guidance to improve Uber’s security posture.
