Job summary

Uber Technologies Inc. is seeking a seasoned security engineer to perform hands-on penetration testing of critical services, AI agents, and infrastructure, while leading security design reviews and threat modeling across the organization.

You will develop AI-powered automation to scale assessments and translate findings into systemic improvements, collaborating with engineering teams to reduce risk and strengthen security across Uber’s technology ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in security engineering or related roles.
• Experience applying threat modeling and vulnerability discovery to complex production environments.
• Experience with security testing of cloud-native services, microservices, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on penetration testing of critical Uber services, applications, APIs, infrastructure, and AI agents to identify vulnerabilities and attack paths.
• Conduct security design reviews and threat modeling for AI agents and agentic systems across models, tools, data, permissions, and runtime behavior.
• Design and build AI-powered automation for security design reviews, threat modeling, penetration testing, and vulnerability validation to scale assessments.
• Translate offensive security findings into systemic improvements and strengthen controls across Uber’s ecosystem.
• Analyze design documents to identify potential flaws before production and provide corrective guidance to improve security posture.
