Johnson Controls is seeking a Security Technician to troubleshoot and service intrusion, IP CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems from multiple manufacturers. You will identify customer needs, communicate next steps, and restore full system functionality while delivering high levels of service.

Role requires strong communication, finalizing written or digital reports, and coordinating with authorities as needed. This on-site position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in low-voltage or security industry
• Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass thorough background and identity checks
• Well versed in Access Controls, CCTV, Burglary and Fire Alarms in commercial applications
• Preference for blueprint/schematic reading and tool proficiency

Responsibilities

• Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring.
• Readjust equipment, repair, or replace inoperative gear and test operation.
• Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other agencies.
• Perform repairs/inspections of intrusion, CCTV, Access Control, and fire alarm systems.
• Assist fellow technicians with system repairs and provide written/customer reports.
• Test system operation and ensure proper connectivity to monitoring centers.
• Provide quotes and recommendations to improve facility efficiency.
