What You’ll Do:
- Serve as primary administrator and subject matter expert for Genetec Security Center (Omnicast VMS and Synergis ACS modules)
- Configure, maintain, and optimize access control hardware including door controllers, card readers, panels, and credentials
- Configure and maintain IP camera systems; manage video storage, retention policies, and camera health monitoring
- Execute access control changes: cardholder management, access level assignments, schedule configurations, and area definitions
- Perform software updates, patches, and firmware upgrades for the Genetec platform and associated hardware
- Develop and maintain system documentation: network diagrams, hardware inventories, configuration records, and change logs
- Conduct regular system audits to verify access control integrity, camera coverage, and alarm point accuracy
- Troubleshoot system faults, alarms, and hardware failures; coordinate with Genetec support and vendors for advanced resolution
- Lead and project manage security technology installations and system expansions, including new facilities and upgrades
- Coordinate with third-party integrators and service vendors on installation projects, maintenance contracts, and service calls
- Develop project scopes, timelines, and commissioning documentation for deployments
- Manage broader physical security technology stack including intrusion detection, intercoms, and visitor management systems
- Support specification and procurement of new physical security hardware with the Sr. Manager, Physical Security
- Monitor system health dashboards and respond to technology-related security alerts
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical system outages or security technology failures
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in IT, Security Management, Computer Science, or related field preferred
- 5+ years hands-on experience with physical security systems in a corporate or industrial environment
- Genetec Security Center experience required; GCT or GCP certification required or must obtain within 6 months of hire
- Experience with IP camera systems, access control hardware (HID, Allegion, or equivalent), and physical security networking fundamentals
- Proven ability to manage technology projects from planning through commissioning and documentation
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues independently
- Proficiency with Genetec Security Center administration and Config tool; deep working knowledge of Synergis ACS and Omnicast VMS modules
- Strong hardware troubleshooting skills for IP cameras, controllers, and card readers
- Ability to read and interpret network diagrams, wiring schematics, and hardware documentation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate system documentation and record-keeping
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize independently
