Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Security Technician to troubleshoot intrusion, CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems across multiple brands. You will assess system needs, inform customers of next steps, and deliver detailed reports.

The role requires MA electrical license, 5+ years in low-voltage or security, and a valid driver’s license. You will contribute to efficient facility operation and may upsell when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Electrical License (Class D minimum) and 5+ years in low-voltage or security.
• Strong knowledge of major security platforms (Bosch/Radionics, Honeywell, Firelite, Silent Knight, DMP, DSC).
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot intrusion, IP CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems from multiple manufacturers.
• Identify customer needs and explain next steps and repair processes.
• Inspect systems and provide written or digital reports to customer and company.
• Provide solutions to improve facility efficiency and upsell where appropriate.
• Coordinate inspections and/or installations with authorities as needed.
• Test system operation and ensure service connectivity; complete required paperwork.
