Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Security Technician based in Macon, GA to troubleshoot and service intrusion, IP CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems from multiple manufacturers. You will diagnose issues, communicate next steps, and ensure full system functionality while delivering high levels of customer service.

Responsibilities include repairs, testing, reporting, coordinating with authorities, and providing quotes for recommended improvements.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years in low-voltage or security industry.
Familiar with major security platforms: Bosch/Radionics, Honeywell, Firelite, Silent Knight, DMP, DSC.
Valid driver's license with excellent driving record.
Ability to pass background and identity checks.

Responsibilities

Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring.
Readjust equipment, repair, or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation.
Coordinate inspections with police, fire departments, or other agencies.
Perform repairs/inspections of intrusion, IP CCTV, access control and fire alarms.
Assist fellow technicians with repairs and minor battery replacements.
Test system operation and report to monitoring center.
Complete forms and customer paperwork.
Provide recommendations to improve facility efficiency and upsell.
Provide quotes to support recommendations.
