Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to join our collaborative culture. You will install, program, startup and certify security systems, and train customers on assigned projects, including small or less complex deployments. As part of a dynamic team, you will grow with the company as Convergint expands.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Willing to learn technical skills related to fire alarm and electronic security systems.
• Self-starter with ability to work with direct supervision.
• Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude, using hand and power tools.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel locally to jobsites; minimal overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services a variety of systems and equipment, including security, fire alarm and life safety, and building automation.
• Operates systems to demonstrate equipment, commission new systems, analyze performance and identify malfunctions; writes routine programs.
• Collaborates with project teams to resolve issues and support customer training and satisfaction.
• Executes technical aspects of multiple projects with varying timelines and budgets, including programming, start-up, certification testing, and close-out documentation.
