Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician in Nashville to install, program, start up, certify, and train customers on security and related systems. You will work with a dynamic team on projects of varying complexity and support ongoing service and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a customer-focused mindset, mechanical and electrical aptitude, and a valid driver’s license. Local travel to sites is expected with occasional overnight travel possible.

Qualifications

• Must have a driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Experience or willingness to learn security system installation and programming.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and schematics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, startup, certify and train on assigned projects.
• Install and service security, fire/life safety, and building automation systems as needed.
• Interface with customers to maximize satisfaction and provide training.
• Troubleshoot, test and document system performance and issues.
• Coordinate with project manager and engineering when needed.
