Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Project Leader 1 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit.

You will oversee small electrical construction projects, coordinate with field teams, and ensure design, procurement, and scheduling align with client requirements across federal, local, and commercial customers. You will develop CPM schedules in Primavera, manage budgets, track progress, and lead kickoff meetings, while ensuring safety, permits, and inspections are handled on time.

Qualifications

• Seven plus years' experience in construction project management or similar roles.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams (Fire Alarm, Communications, Security, AV, Power, Instrumentation).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist project Superintendent with documentation, layout, and field office support.
• Develop a resource-loaded CPM schedule with Primavera.
• Coordinate and run project kick-off meetings.
• Forecast cash flow and manpower needs.
• Read blueprints and project specifications.
• Develop budgets and cost codes with supervision.
• Prepare submittals, change orders, and estimates.
• Meet with customers to present proposals.
• Ensure safety regulations and permitting.
• Oversee overall financial management and profitability.
• Ensure on-time completion and punch-list closure.
• Prepare monthly progress reports.
