Job summary

Pref-Tech is seeking a Security System Lead Technician in Dallas, TX to lead a small team in completing access control, video surveillance, and intrusion projects. Responsibilities include planning with managers, mentoring staff, installing and testing systems, and ensuring safety and quality within budget.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in security, leadership experience, and a TX license (or ability to obtain). Travel 10–20% is required; a valid TX driver’s license is necessary.

Qualifications

• Must have exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking.
• At least 5 years of relevant security experience.
• Must hold a TX security license or be eligible to obtain one immediately.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of security and/or cabling technicians.
• Plan daily tasks with Project Manager or Superintendent.
• Install and troubleshoot access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems.
