Job summary

Next Level Technician seeks a Lead Security Technician in Houston, TX to oversee onsite teams and deliver high‑quality security installations.

The role focuses on access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems, with responsibilities including planning, testing, and commissioning, while guiding junior technicians and coordinating with clients to meet schedules. Competitive hourly pay of $25–$35 and weekly pay offered.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on experience in commercial security/low voltage.
• Experience leading installation crews or teams.
• Strong knowledge of access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite teams of 2–5 technicians, ensuring quality workmanship and safety.
• Manage daily project tasks, assignments, and installations to meet deadlines.
• Install, terminate, test, troubleshoot, and service security systems.
• Install and troubleshoot access control, CCTV, and intrusion devices.
• Pull, route, terminate, dress, label, and test Cat5e/Cat6 and other low‑voltage cabling.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and security layouts.
• Configure and program systems; assist with commissioning.
• Communicate with project managers, customers, and contractors to stay on schedule.
• Train and mentor junior technicians; uphold quality standards.
