Job summary

Integrated Protection Services in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Security Technician to install project devices in compliance with fire alarm, building and electrical codes. The role also involves mentoring entry-level technicians on-site.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with security, access, CCTV, nurse call, or sound systems, plus a strong safety mindset, excellent customer service, and the ability to work after hours or travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• 3–5 years of experience as an entry level technician or related industry.
• OSHA-10 hour certification.
• Efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to navigate company software, enter data, and send communication; Excel/Word skills a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills for internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Install project specific devices to applicable codes and standards.
• Mention and coach entry level technicians on jobsites.
• Coordinate with project manager and other trades for timely completion.
• Monitor installation work by outside contractors for code compliance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose system problems and identify repairs.
• Perform regular system inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Install cabling per specifications; run EMT and PVC conduit.
• Maintain tools, vehicle and equipment; work after hours or weekends as needed.
