Job summary

Integrated Protection Services in Nashville, TN is seeking a Security Technician to install project-specific devices and ensure compliance with fire alarm, building, and electrical codes. You will mentor entry-level technicians on-site and coordinate with project managers to complete work safely and on time.

The role involves hands-on installation of Fire, CCTV, Access, Nurse Call, and related systems, plus wiring, diagnostics, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 3-5 years of experience as an entry level technician or related industry experience
• OSHA-10 hour certification
• Efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment
• Must navigate company software, enter data, and send communication. Knowledge of Word and Excel a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills for internal and external customers
• Able to operate hand and power tools
• Must unload, carry, and climb ladders
• Must maintain First Aid and CPR Certification
• Must maintain lift, confined space, and other safety certifications

Responsibilities

• Install project specific devices including Fire, Suppression, CCTV, Intrusion, Access, Nurse Call, etc. per specifications and applicable building, electrical, and fire alarm codes
• Install project specific cabling or piping per specifications and applicable building, electrical, and fire alarm codes
• Monitor the installation work of outside contractors for compliance with codes and project specifics
• Troubleshoot and diagnose causes of system problems or failures and identify equipment requiring repair
• Perform regular system inspections and recommend preventative maintenance
• Analyze blueprints and drawings
• Coordinate with project manager and/or other trades to complete projects on time
• Mentor, coach and train entry level technicians
• Maintain assigned tools, vehicle and equipment
• Follow company safety policies
