Job summary

CBX Solutions is seeking a Field Technician to install, configure, and terminate access control devices across diverse environments in the Durham, NC area. You will work with card readers, door hardware, CCTV systems, and network equipment with minimal supervision.

The role involves coordinating onsite tasks, training end users, and supporting project milestones under PM supervision. OSHA-10 and 2+ years in field tech roles are preferred, with a focus on safety and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Certification in at least two VMS systems.
• Certification in at least one access control system.
• Minimum one year of basic configuration experience.
• OSHA-10 certification.
• Two years as Field Technician or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Install access control devices and electrified door hardware.
• Install and connect access control panels, power supplies and control equipment.
• Install and program CCTV; analog and IP cameras.
• Install and program NVRs and VMS platforms.
• Install cable and pathway systems to support security systems.
• Lead a team of field technicians under PM/Field Supervisors.
• Maintain high level of quality control on project.
• Ensure safety on the job site.
• Perform end-user training.
• Participate in project commissioning and testing.
