Job summary

EnvelopiQ is seeking a Security System Technician in Indianapolis to install and configure access control systems and CCTV cameras. You will connect panels, install software, test performance, and train customers on operation and maintenance.

The role requires hands-on installation, detailed record-keeping, and the ability to handle wiring and site work under varied conditions. Pre-hire drug test and background check are included.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in physical security, fire alarm or low voltage installation and programming.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with access control and video surveillance systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and configure access control and surveillance systems per customer specs.
• Connect control panels, apply requirements, conceal wires, install security software.
• Test installed systems for proper functionality.
• Train customers on operation and maintenance of systems.
• Perform quality assurance checks to meet standards and specs.
• Address customer questions during and after installation.
• Maintain records of configurations, wiring diagrams, and settings.
• Run electrical wiring, including drilling, trenching, and aerial runs.
• Undertake other duties as assigned.
