Job summary

Envelop Group is seeking a Security Systems Technician in Indianapolis to install, configure and troubleshoot commercial electronic security systems. You will service enterprise-level clients, run wiring, and ensure systems operate per code and client requirements.

The role includes on-site travel with a company vehicle, training opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package. Strong troubleshooting, organization, and customer-facing communication are essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; trade school courses in electrical/electronics preferred.
1+ years installing or servicing physical security systems.
Experience with access control and video surveillance systems (Genetec, Milestone, Vicon).
Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude; organized and detail-oriented.
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

Install, program, and configure commercial electronic security systems for clients.
Troubleshoot installations to ensure proper operation and code compliance.
Travel to client sites using company vehicle to install and verify systems.
Run wiring, connect control panels, and configure security software.
Program devices and train customers on usage and basic troubleshooting.
Document work performed and actions taken; handle other duties as assigned.
