Job summary

EnvelopiQ, part of the Envelop Group, seeks a Fire Systems Technician 3 to install, program, troubleshoot, configure, commission, and service fire alarm systems at customer sites in Indianapolis and nearby areas. You will handle panel programming, testing, as-built drawings, and customer training, while ensuring life-safety compliance and high-quality service.

Strong reading of blueprints and familiarity with low-voltage work are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade courses preferred.
• 4+ years in installation/maintenance of low voltage systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and manuals; strong troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems.
• Ensure life-safety and code compliance per standards and local ordinances.
• Perform programming, testing, final inspections, drawings, and training.
• Submit all required documentation in a timely manner.
• Identify and fix system malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Build strong customer relationships through service excellence.
• Maintain service vehicle and assist with training junior techs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
