Job summary

Johnson Controls in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Security Installer to install and service complex security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intercoms. You will wire, configure, and program devices and ensure compliance with NEC and company guidelines.

The role requires 3+ years in camera and access control systems, TCP/IP networking, and the ability to read blueprints. A high school diploma is required; an associate degree or certifications are a plus; must be able to operate company

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience with Digital & Analog Camera Systems.
• 3+ years of experience with Access Control Systems.
• Understanding of alarm system functions and IP addressable security devices.
• Proficient in TCP/IP networking.
• Able to operate a company truck with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install complex integrated security systems including access control, CCTV, and intercom.
• Install cabling and equipment per NEC and guidelines.
• Troubleshoot with electronic test equipment and interpret schematics.
• Read blueprints, submittals, and manuals; adjust or replace faulty equipment.
• Perform system checks and ensure proper operation.
• Complete paperwork related to job assignments.
• Provide end-user training.
