Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Service Technician in El Paso, TX to troubleshoot and service security systems, including burglar alarms, CCTV, and Card Access. You will work with the customer care center to report system status and coordinate inspections.

The role requires a HS diploma, 3–4 years of experience with Tyco Integrated Security or equivalent, and a Hirsch certificate, with strong communication and an electrical/electronic background, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3-4 years’ experience installing and inspecting/repairing Tyco Integrated Security or comparable product line.
• Experience with Card Access/CCTV/IP cameras; Hirsch Certificate.
• Excellent communication skills; Electrical/Electronic background; Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and service security systems, advising customers and the care center on system status and inspections.
• Repair or replace burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, Card Access, and other security equipment.
• Coordinate inspections/installations with police, fire departments or other agencies as needed.
• Provide recommendations and quotes to improve facility efficiency and upsell where appropriate.
