Job summary

You will install, inspect, repair, and program systems, and work to ensure safety and customer satisfaction in the field.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of documented experience with card access and CCTV systems.
• Experience installing, inspecting, repairing, and programming card access and CCTV.
• Knowledge of test equipment, including a multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, diagrams, schematics, and specifications.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong customer service skills, a positive attitude, and solid organizational skills.
• Basic computer literacy and comfort using smart phones and laptop computers for service documentation.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements.
• Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
• Retain any licenses required by National, State, and Local codes.
• Knowledge of applicable NFPA standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair card access, CCTV, burglar alarm, and related building system products at customer sites.
• Install, inspect, repair, and program card access and CCTV systems, and support fire alarm-related work when assigned.
• Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures to identify issues and restore system performance efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
• Communicate clearly with staff and customers to support timely resolution and a positive service experience.
• Complete service acknowledgements with proper coding using smart phones and laptop computers, and obtain customer signatures upon completion of service calls.
• Provide recommendations, quotes, and practical solutions to help facilities operate efficiently and identify potential upselling opportunities.
• Maintain truck inventory, respond to on-call emergency service as needed, and perform other duties as assigned.
