Job summary

Amazon’s Security Products and Solutions team is seeking a SYSDEV Engineer II in Austin to bridge hardware, firmware, and software. You will design system interfaces, validate firmware, and ensure secure integration across AWS data centers.

You’ll collaborate with hardware, networking, and software teams to deliver reliable, scalable security products, while supporting CI/CD processes and rigorous testing throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems.
• Experience with CI/CD build processes.
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, OS).
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain integration of security hardware within firmware, network, and server layers.
• Define system interfaces and data flows between devices, management servers, and cloud platforms.
• Develop embedded firmware for security devices and coordinate firmware releases.
