Job summary

RTX is seeking an IT Systems Administrator for on-site support in Westford, MA. You will deliver prompt, multi-channel technical support across Windows and Linux, maintain desktops, and manage assets. You will create clear documentation and train users to ensure consistent processes.

The role requires 3–5 years in IT infrastructure and a Security+ certification within 90 days, plus an active U.S. government security clearance and U.S. citizenship. On-site, relocation assistance is not provided.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent with 5+ years; or advanced degree with 3+ years.
• 3–5 years in system administration, desktop support, or similar IT infrastructure roles.
• Experience supporting Windows and Linux operating systems, virtual and physical desktops.
• CompTIA Security+ certification within 90 days of employment.
• Active U.S. government security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prompt technical support across in-person, phone, and electronic channels for Windows and Linux environments.
• Perform routine system maintenance, including antivirus updates and patching, security self-reviews, and monitoring of servers and hardware.
• Manage hardware and software assets with accurate inventory control and user permissions administration.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and user training to support consistent processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile (Scrum) environments to deploy and validate IT and security solutions.
