Job summary

ByteDance’s Security Technology team seeks an experienced Security Systems Administrator embedded on the team in San Jose. The role focuses on admin, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise security systems, with Lenel OnGuard and Avigilon CCTV expertise preferred.

This full-time, hybrid role requires four days onsite in San Jose and one day remote per week. You will manage access control, cameras, and related devices, coordinate with vendors and site staff, perform

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in enterprise physical security systems.
• Hands-on Lenel OnGuard and Avigilon CCTV administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience handling multiple service requests and deployments with minimal supervision.
• Strong network and security fundamentals; collaboration with field technicians and vendors.
• Certification preferred: Lenel OnGuard Fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain Lenel and Avigilon security platforms.
• Program and configure new security devices and upgrades.
• Monitor system health and optimize availability.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
• Manage service requests and incident resolution.
• Configure access control systems and system configurations.
• Coordinate with vendors and site stakeholders.
• Support testing, validation, and system acceptance.
• Maintain accurate documentation and metrics.
• Partner with global security teams to standardize configurations.
