Job summary

Lucky Star Casino in Canton, NY is seeking a Security Supervisor to lead daily security operations. The role reports to the Security Manager and is a safety-sensitive position, responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating security personnel activities.

General Description

Full Time | Canton

The Security Supervisor reports to the Security Manager. The Security Supervisor position is considered a Safety Sensitive Position. The Security Supervisor will be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating security personnel activities on daily basis.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • To organize and assign work activities of security personnel.
  • To recommend changes in policy and procedures to ensure security.
  • To prepare proposals for manpower and equipment needs.
  • To assist customers, personnel investigating criminal violations where this condition arises.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Authority And Supervision Capacity
  • To supervise all security personnel to ensure that the facility is adequately secured.
  • To review all disciplinary actions given to employees
  • To approve or disapprove any employee request for vacation, sick leave, or leave of absence.
  • To ensure all employees are being treated equally.
Qualifications
  • Minimum high school education (prefer some college education).
  • Minimum 3 years past experience in security related field.
  • Good working knowledge of security equipment.
  • Able to communicate well with people both oral and written.
  • Good understanding of management practices and internal controls.
  • Background in training and instructing.
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Prepared to submit to background check and random drug testing.
  • Dependable transportation.
  • Must maintain valid Cheyenne and Arapaho Gaming License.

A tribal enrollment card or certified degree of Indian blood (CDIB) card is needed to apply to verify eligibility of Indian Preference.
