Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, guests, and teammates. You will conduct routine patrols, inspect access points, and respond to alarms and incidents, documenting actions in daily logs.

This role requires a HS Diploma/GED, 2+ years of related security experience, strong judgment, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and good written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED is required.
• 2+ years of related security experience preferred.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Basic computer proficiency is required.
• Valid driver's license is preferred if required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas.
• Inspect doors, windows, gates, and access points.
• Respond to alarms, security calls, and on-site emergencies.
• Investigate and document incidents or suspicious activity.
• Complete daily Security Logs and incident reports.
• Monitor fire safety, hazards, and unsecured areas.
• Assist with emergency response procedures.
• Escort residents and team members after hours.
• Support OSHA and infection control compliance.
• Secure and unlock areas per policy.

What We're Looking For:

• Basic computer proficiency

Pay Range: 18.42 - 22.80
