Job summary

Target is hiring a Security Specialist to protect guests, team members and assets. You will use intelligence-led tactics to respond to crisis events, manage crowds and document incidents with case management systems.

Role requires de-escalation skills, physical security controls experience, and a reliable, team-focused attitude in a fast‑paced retail environment. Training is provided for success across shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet state/local licensure/other requirements.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate scanners and other tech.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, friendly guest experience and greet customers.
• Assist guests and colleagues to resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience.
• Document security incidents accurately in the case management system.
• Respond to incidents with de-escalation and appropriate security measures.
• Support merchandise protection and loss prevention according to AP policies.
