Job summary

Target Security Specialist role involving guest engagement, safeguarding guests and team members, and protecting the store from loss. You will monitor security, respond to incidents, and document events using case management systems.

Expect a fast-paced, physically demanding environment requiring teamwork, flexibility, and strong communication. Training provided with emphasis on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
• Effective communication skills.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and assist with finding items or resolving issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
• Assist peers and adapt to changing business needs while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Promote a physical security culture and maintain safe standards throughout the store.
• Respond to and document security incidents in a timely manner.
• Use de-escalation tactics and resources when addressing incidents.
• Conduct merchandise theft recoveries and provide theft apprehension support as needed.
