Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist in a store location to help safeguard guests, team members and the brand, while delivering a welcoming shopping experience. You will respond to incidents, document cases, and operate surveillance tools, promoting safety and loss prevention.

Ideal candidates are 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent, able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, and willing to participate in training to handle crisis events.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
• Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and help them find what they need for a smooth shopping experience.
• Respond to security incidents and document cases in the case management system.
• Use Target's video surveillance system to monitor store activity.
• Prevent theft and support loss prevention efforts per AP policies.
• Collaborate with store leadership to maintain a safe and secure environment.
