Job summary

Target Security Specialist is responsible for maintaining a safe, welcoming store environment. You will greet guests, assist with needs, and resolve issues while following AP policies and using surveillance tools. You will document incidents clearly and balance guest service with loss prevention.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to work independently or with a team, and a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Training is provided to build skills.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners.
• Effective communication skills.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on commitments: greet guests, assist, and thank them.
• Promote a physical security culture and maintain safe and secure standards storewide.
• Respond to and document security incidents promptly using case management systems.
• Conduct merchandise theft recoveries and provide theft apprehension support as needed.
• Perform merchandise receipt checks to prevent theft and communicate trends to AP.
