Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist at our California store to protect guests, team members and the brand. You will engage with guests, deter theft and respond to incidents with urgency and integrity.

This role requires a high school diploma, 18+ eligibility, and flexible shifts including nights and weekends. You will use handheld scanners and Target's video systems, documenting cases in our case management system.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Create a friendly guest experience while maintaining security standards.
• Greet guests and assist them in a safe shopping experience.
• Respond to security incidents in a timely and accurate manner.
• Document cases in the case management system per policy.
• Prevent theft and assist with merchandise receipt checks at front of store.
